The Health and Safety Officer takes overall responsibility for the safe running of the site; for the safety of all staff and customers; for the meeting of all legal requirements under HASSAP; for disseminating H & S information to managers and departments and supervising their implementation and for taking action on any feedback from Environmental health visits.
The Health & Safety Officer will undertake, organise and oversee the training in food hygiene of all the staff members involved in food handling and the appropriate safety training of any other members of staff. The offcer will also delegate and oversee the Health and Safety induction of all new members of staff and the updating of all members of staff when legislation and regulations change.
The Health & Safety Officer will make sure that First Aid certificates are updated at the correct time.
